Virtual Learning 3/30/2020

Welcome back everyone! Today is Monday, March 30, 2020.

I hope you all had a fun, relaxing, and healthy spring break. I know that this transition to virtual learning has been a bit strange and maybe even challenging for many of us (parents included), so I'm going to make a few changes. Each day, my assignments will include a list of "must do's" and some "may do's". The must do's are things that you need to complete, and may require evidence of their completion (a photo sent to me/ a Google Doc shared with me) . They will consist of things like math and reading, and should be things you are able to do on your own. The may-do's will include things you can do in order to push your learning. These are optional, but if your parents say you have to, then that's what you do.

Must do's:
1. MATH-
Redbird 45 minutes (both 4th and 5th). Fourth grade must show me a picture of your Redbird notebook. Leave comments or get a hold of me if you have any questions.

2. READING-
Group 1, "City of Ember", will be meeting today at 10:30. Group members include: Calum, Colton, Jacoby, Charlie, Bohde, and Sam. Make sure you're reading bookclub things are complete prior to our meeting.

If you are NOT in Group 1, you should continue to read your bookclub book and fill out your reading notebook so that you are ready for your meeting. I would like EVERYONE to be reading 30 minutes/day. I have set up a Google Sheet for everyone to log their daily reading. I will put in a new day, each day, for you to fill in your reading. There is a spot for you to place an "x" when you are done, a spot for your book title, and then which pages you read. Please fill in this information every day. Tuesday- Group 2 "Chasing Vermeer", Clare, Stella, Trinity, Hailey, Aaron, and Lacy.
Wednesday- Group 3 "Phantom Tollbooth", Amelie, Vann, Lydia, Nicolai, Keegan, and Owen.
Thursday- Group 4 "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", Elizabeth, Cody, Mason, Ezra, Henry, Nick, and Max.

3. WRITING- Type up your setting, conflict, and resolution for your adventure story and share this with me in a Google Doc. ahernandez@etudegroup.org
